1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the Fab City Forum available at https://forum.fab.city, operated by the SA Fab City Foundation, a non-profit organization registered in Estonia (F. R. Faehlmanni 5, 10125, Tallinn, Estonia).

By accessing or using the Fab City Forum, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this service.

The Fab City Foundation may provide other digital platforms or services under different terms.

These Terms apply exclusively to the Fab City Forum.

2. Purpose of the Forum

The Fab City Forum is a collaboration and discussion platform for the Fab City Global Initiative, connecting members of the international Fab City network, practitioners, researchers, and partners.

It exists to exchange knowledge, coordinate projects, and strengthen collaboration between local ecosystems and the global community.

It is not a commercial or consumer-facing platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the forum.

By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

If we believe your account is being misused, we may suspend or terminate access at our discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use this forum in line with its purpose and community guidelines.

In particular, you may not:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.

  • Impersonate another person or organization.

  • Access another user’s account without permission.

  • Post or transmit unlawful, defamatory, abusive, or otherwise harmful content.

  • Upload or link to material that infringes copyright or data protection laws.

  • Use automated systems (such as bots, scrapers, or crawlers) to access or extract data.

  • Send spam, chain messages, or unsolicited promotions.

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the forum’s technical infrastructure.

  • Misrepresent your affiliation with the Fab City Foundation or its partners.

Violations of this policy may result in suspension or permanent removal of your account.

5. Account and Access

Some features of the forum require registration.

When you register, you must provide a valid email address and choose a secure password.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all actions taken using it.

If you suspect unauthorized use, contact info@fab.city immediately.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or our community guidelines.

6. Content ownership and rights

You retain ownership of all content you post on the forum.

By submitting content, you grant the Fab City Foundation a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the forum for the purpose of operating and improving the service.

This license ends when you delete your content or close your account, except where copies remain in system backups for a limited period.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you share complies with applicable laws and does not infringe others’ intellectual property rights.

If you publish materials under open licenses (for example, Creative Commons), you must clearly indicate the license terms in your post.

7. Public Visibility

The Fab City Forum is a publicly accessible platform.

Content posted here may be indexed by search engines and visible to non-registered visitors.

Avoid posting confidential or personal information you do not wish to share publicly.

8. Moderation and enforcement

The Foundation and appointed moderators may review, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms or community guidelines.

We may also suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly breach the rules.

If you believe your content was removed in error, you can contact info@fab.city for review.

Decisions on moderation are final.

9. Disclaimer

The forum is provided “as is.”

While we do our best to maintain a secure and stable service, the Fab City Foundation makes no warranty regarding uninterrupted access, absence of errors, or fitness for a particular purpose.

The Foundation does not endorse or verify user-generated content and is not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of material posted by users.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Fab City Foundation will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the forum.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if the forum is discontinued.

Upon termination, your right to access the forum ends immediately, but clauses related to intellectual property, liability, and jurisdiction will continue to apply.

12. Feedback and collaboration

We welcome feedback, suggestions, and technical improvements.

By submitting feedback, you agree that the Foundation may use it freely without obligation to notify or compensate you.

Do not share ideas you consider confidential.

13. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia.

Any disputes arising from or related to the use of this forum will be handled by the Harju County Court in Tallinn, Estonia.

We encourage resolution through dialogue before taking legal action.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

Any significant changes will be announced on the forum, and the “Last updated” date will be modified accordingly.

Your continued use of the forum after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
